Jaeger’s adventure is back in the Pacific Rim sequel. The existence of Kaiju (giant animals that are enemies of Jaeger) still threatens the earth and humanity. In the Pacific Rim: Uprising series, the director’s chair is no longer carried by Guillermo del Toro, but Steven S. DeKnight.
For the script, it was written by Emily Carmichael, Kira Snyder, and TS Nowlin. In this edition, the responsibility for saving the earth is taken over by Jake Pentecost (John Boyega). He is the son of the head of the Jaeger program, Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba) who was killed in the first series.
