The sequel to Train to Busan was directed by Yeon Sang-ho and written by Yeon Sang-ho and also Park Joo-suk. The film is planned to air in the summer of 2020. Gong Yoo, who played the main role in the film Train to Busan (2016), is now replaced by Gang Dong-won.

Synopsis Peninsula 2020
This film tells the story of what happened after four years there was a big incident on the train. They are still fighting for life among thousands of zombies. The trailer begins with the appearance of the main character, namely Dong-Won who plays the character Jung Seok.
He was in a place with a scary atmosphere and very tense. Jung Seok is monitoring the Busan area that has no inhabitants. Residents in Busan look dead attacked by zombies. Jung Seok was seen carrying a pistol in his hand as a weapon to protect himself.
However, apparently he did not fight alone, he was with other residents who were still alive. The trailer also shows the scene when Jung Seok had to run, shoot, and shed blood to save himself from zombie attacks. In the first film Train to Busan, released in 2016, it tells the story of zombie action on a train.
The story begins with a father named Sok Woo who doesn’t give enough time for his daughter, Soo Ahn. Then, Soon Ahn asked to be taken to Busan to live with her mother. They went to Busan by train. However, who would have thought that on the way to Busan they would have to fight with zombies.
When the train was about to leave, a woman who injured her leg managed to get on the train. Apparently, the woman had been bitten by a zombie in the leg. Initially, the woman attacked a flight attendant who intended to help her.
Then, zombie infection spreads to other passengers through bites. Train passengers must fight and protect themselves from people who have become zombies. Arriving at a station, the driver realized that the station was empty.
Then, they reentered the train. Until finally, Sok Woo was infected. Realizing he has been infected, Sun Woo takes his daughter out to another train before he really becomes a zombie. So Ahn was later rescued by a pregnant woman named Seong Kyeong.
