John Constantine is an exorcist who lives in Los Angeles. He was born with the power to see angels and demons on Earth. Constantine committed suicide at the age of 15 after unable to overcome his ability to see demons. Constantine was saved by paramedics but he spent two minutes in Hell.
After that, Constantine knew that because of his actions to commit suicide his soul was condemned. From then on, Constantine became a counterweight by continuing to fight the demons that crossed into the world. This was done to redeem his soul so as not to go to hell.
The conflict began when John Constantine met a woman named Angela Dodson who investigated the mystery behind the death of her twin sister.
