Hlynur Pálmason took the film actor Everest (2015) Ingvar Sigurdsson to become the main actor under the name Ingimundur. The film A White White Day (2019) was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival in France, May 16, 2019. At the event, Ingvar Sigurdsson won the Louis Roederer Foundation Rising Star Award. Then the film was screened in its home country, Iceland on September 6, 2019.

Synopsis

In a remote town in Iceland, a police chief named Ingimundur (Ingvar Sigurdsson) who is not on duty begins to suspect a local man having an affair with his late wife. The wife had died in a tragic accident two years before. Slowly his obsession to find the truth piled up and inevitable. That was the beginning of the danger that gradually befall him and those he loved. A story of grief, revenge, and unconditional love.
